July 8, 2025 – Development Beta Build
This beta release marks a major milestone in AwwalPay’s integration with the Saudi open banking ecosystem. Key updates include:
New Features & Enhancements
- SAMA AIS Integration Complete
AwwalPay now fully supports the Account Information Services (AIS) as per SAMA regulations. Users can securely link their bank accounts directly within the app. - Real-Time Linking Feedback
Users receive live status updates during the account linking process, ensuring transparency and improving user experience. - Facebook Login & Registration Added
Users can now sign up or log in using their Facebook account for quicker access.
⚠️ Known Limitation
Due to Facebook account verification restrictions, email addresses are not always provided by Facebook.
→ To accommodate this, email is now optional for Facebook signups. Instead, we securely store the Facebook User ID as a unique identifier.
